"The Child World: An Environment of Care"
The child world and growing up in an environment of care have a major effect on his or her self-image and the ability to become rich as an adult.
Before the children start arriving, be sure you are developing good habits when it comes to your environments for living so they will have an encouraging atmosphere for their development. For instance, when something becomes worn, either refurbish it, throw it away, or replace it. The self image of your children will be greatly enhanced if the child world is one of surroundings in good repair. Do your very best to keep your home uncluttered and clean. Now is the easier time to get in that habit because it will be very challenging once the little ones arrive. You should always be proud to invite others into your environments for living, or just to relax in your own home, feeling good about where you are. Cleanliness is most important, not only because of physical health, but also for mental health. After all, your family is so important that you want them living in a clean, uncluttered environment of care. You may be surprised, but clutter is separate from clean, in reality, but it usually is a kindred "soul". Even if an area is clean of dust and dirt, it isn't the best environment until everything is organized. And ... vice versa! Your surroundings, the child world, certainly don't have to be absolutely perfect all the time - that, too, can be stressful. But it is much less stressful if everything has its place and is usually in its place when not in use. An environment with everything organized allows the mind to think much more clearly and in an organized manner. It also helps you to think well of yourself and avoid any self image issues. So, now, while you have no children, practice keeping some kind of schedule to keep your entire home clean, inside and out, and uncluttered. Some really great tips on keeping one's home clean can be found on a cute but informative television show, How Clean is Your House? It is only about 30 minutes long, but entertaining while being instructive. Believe me, it is very easy to let your home become chaotic when children and pets start living in it, so develop good habits NOW. While we are on the subject, you should know that...
...Your Friends are Part of Your Child World Too! If you are proud of your friends and want your children to grow up to be like your friends, then all is well. But if you have friends whom you socialize with only because you are used to doing so, now is the time to get that portion of your environment in order, as well. Always ask yourself if this person is one you want your child to copy... because he or she will. Anything you like, your child will want to copy in order to be like you and get your approval. After all, you are the main authority figure in your child’s world. Often your friends change, anyway, once you start to have children. Start looking for people whom you admire and do what you can to develop friendships with them. If you don't meet enough people whom you admire, figure out the kinds of activities you like to do and join groups which do those activities. At some point in those groups you will discover new friends whom you would be proud to take home to your children. An environment of care for your child means making sure you know what is responsibility and that your self talk is an empowering one. Also, that you don’t have any self image issues that will impact negatively your child world and his or her ability to become rich.
